When you journey deep enough, the inner voice is not just yours — it becomes the voice of all things.

Messages from the Interior is an immersive art experience through writing—an invitation to descend layer by layer into the interior: your own and that of the earth itself.

The installation creates an environment where boundaries blur, where inner and outer landscapes merge, and where writing becomes a portal to listen, receive, and respond.

Excerpt from the installation:

All of these things exhale. These beings breathe…

What do they speak?
What messages do they have for me?

It is not only their breath that moves through me, but their voices, too, winding around each of my fingers, which now move to write…

An immersive, hour-long journey in solitude, guided by audio, visual stimuli, somatic exploration, and writing.

Available in English or Spanish, with the possibility of adaptation for other languages.

The Book

Artist-made books for reading, writing, and re-immersing in the work

These books extend the experience of the installation, carrying its text into new environments. Each one contains the original prompts—first delivered through audio—now in a form you can take with you. Read them in nature, write in response, and reenact the immersion in a new landscape.

Handcrafted by the artist, the books are made from paper Amanda, herself, created. This same paper pulp was also used to form elements of the installation, linking the book to the physical space of the original experience.

Have a look at the paper-making and book-making processes below.
