The Box
Information for Prospective Hosts
Welcome.
Thank you for your interest in hosting The Box.
This page is intended to give you a deeper understanding of how the work functions, what is required to host it, and what makes this particular moment in its development so unique.
This version of The Box is the original prototype and is currently being carried by the artist, herself, during summer 2025.
If you feel aligned with the spirit of the work, you will find the next steps for hosting at the bottom of the page.

What Happens Inside
The Box is a poetic, audio-guided writing ritual housed in a minimalist object. Participants enter the space one at a time for a one-hour, contemplative experience that blends writing, movement, silence, and perception. As they engage with the Box, their relationship to a personal question or tension begins to shift, physically and metaphorically.
The Box is a tool for transformation, designed to be scalable and globally distributed. The version you are considering hosting is the original working prototype and will be carried by the artist, herself, during summer 2025.
What You Receive
A rare opportunity to host the original version of The Box with the artist present
A deep, meaningful experience for your community that blends art, introspection, and perception
The chance to be part of a living work that is still unfolding — a project in active evolution
The potential to become a long-term partner in the next phase of distribution
Timeline Options
The Box can be hosted for 1 day or up to 7 consecutive days, depending on the nature of your event or venue, with 8-10 individual sessions per day, each lasting 1 hour.
1-Day Intensive: All participants guided directly by the artist; includes closing integration talk
Multi-Day Hostings: The artist sets up and trains your on-site host; the artist returns at the end to facilitate the closing conversation
Optional additional artist involvement may also be discussed.

What You’ll Need to Host
Space:
A quiet, private room with minimal sensory noise to support the depth of presence and perception
Soft furnishings: Floor cushions, low seating, or a couch. Participants are encouraged to kneel, sit, lie down, and move around The Box
Adequate lighting for writing by hand
Volunteer/Staff:
Welcome participants and offer a brief orientation (script provided)
Ensure privacy during the sessions
Alternative option if no support staff/volunteer is available: Artist on-site, see above.
